Joseph F. Morosini Jr., 80, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born Aug. 17, 1936, in Wilkins Township, a son of the late Joseph F. "Chick" and Mildred (Benden) Morosini. In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by brothers, John "Jack" Morosini, and George Morosini; and a sister, Mildred "Snitz" Sperlak. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Sandy (Martinelli) Morosini; sons, Joseph F. Morosini, of Latrobe, Michael Morosini, of Colorado; a daughter, Sandy Jo Dombroski and her husband, Raymond "RJ", of Lower Burrell; grandchildren, Jordan, Matthew, Mikey, Lane, Shyanne, Amanda and Ryan; brothers, Eugene Morosini and his wife, Sheila, of Las Vegas, Nev., Donald "Duck" Morosini and his wife, Helen, of Delmont; special sister-in-law, Nancy Morosini and family; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joseph proudly served and was honorably discharged from the Navy. He retired as a sheet metal worker/welder in Union Local No. 12. He also was a welding instructor. He also was an avid hunter and sporting clay shooter. The Morosini family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Allegheny Hospice, especially to Catherine Bakey for their compassion and care.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Export (724-327-0647), with Father Joseph Bonafed presiding. Interment services will follow at the Twin Valley Memorial Park Chapel in Delmont with military honors presented by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 33 of Greensburg.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed in Joseph F. Morosini's memory to Autism Society, 4371 Northern Pike, Monroeville, PA 15146.
