John William "Bill" Brinker Sr.

Brinker Sr. John William "Bill" age 85 of Salem Twp. passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Annabelle (Painter) Brinker. Loving father of Katherine "Kitty" A. (James) Anderson and John W. (Lori) Brinker, Jr.; adored grandfather of Brian James (Christina) Anderson, Eric William (Alyssa) Anderson, and Olivia Nicole (Brian) Bohn; great grandfather of Blake Harold Anderson, Ellie Sadie Anderson, and Bennett Robert Anderson; brother of Thomas (Katie) Brinker, Aleck (Sue) Brinker, Robert "Bob" (late Brenda) Brinker, Judy (George) Visnick, Ralph Brinker, Keith Brinker, the late Richard "Dick" and Margie Brinker and the late Dan and Roseanne Brinker; brother-in-law of Carolyn (late Lester) Painter; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bill worked for Bell Telephone for 36 years and was a member of the Jeannette F&AM Lodge #750. He was a lifetime member of the Trinity United Church of Christ where he served as an Elder and Deacon. He and his wife of 58 years loved spending time at Youghiogheny Lake boating with family and friends. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and a proud member of the Wagon Wheel Thursday lunch group. Friends will be received Sunday 2-7 PM at the BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME 152 Abbe Pl., Delmont (724-468-8381) where services will be Monday, 10:30 AM. Masonic services will be Sunday 6 PM. Interment with military honors follow at Twin Valley Memorial.
