William David Hixenbaugh, 32, of Delmont, unexpectedly succumbed to his addiction after five years of sobriety Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018. He was the loving son of Carol and the late Daniel W. Hixenbaugh, of Delmont; brother of Sue Ann (William) Chattin, of St. Peters, Mo.; and doting uncle of Isla and Jacob Chattin, of St. Peters, Mo. He will also be missed by his canine princess, Bella. William was preceded in death by his father, Daniel W. Hixenbaugh; grandparents, William and Alice Hixenbaugh and Delores Lobodinsky; and an uncle, Robert "Dutch" Lobodinsky. Bill was an extremely loving and caring son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend. He was an avid fan of the Steelers, Pirates and UFC. He had a great sense of humor and a heart of gold and will be surely missed.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday with a funeral service commencing at 7 p.m. at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, with Pastor Kara Probst, of Salem Lutheran Church, in Delmont, presiding.
