Thomas D. "Turkey" Bankosh

Thomas  D. “Turkey” Bankosh, 70, of Penn Twp., Pa. passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday July 22, 2018. He was born October 8, 1947 in Slickville, PA. a son of the late John and Mary (Duffalo) Bankosh.  He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Judy ( Sidehammer) Bankosh, sons Tom Bankosh "Turk" and his wife Michele and Robert “Zippy” Bankosh; his grandchildren Olivia and Sophia Bankosh and Mason Ray. He was proceeded in death by his daughter Jaime Bankosh and his brothers John, George, Donald, Richard, Albert and his sister Elizabeth Thompkins.  Thomas was known as “Tom Turkey DJ” for 27 years.  He was a member of the 1058 Union Hall, life member of the Claridge Volunteer Fire Department and was an avid fan of the Polkas.  Friends received Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 9-11 a.m. at the Bash-Nied Funeral Home 152 Abbe Place Delmont, PA   where a service will take place Thursday at 11 a.m.  The family would like to honor Tom’s wishes and request no flowers for his visitation.  For online expressions of sympathy please refer to the funeral home website www.bash-niedfuneralhome.com
