Robert J. Tomer

Robert J. Tomer, 58, of Salem Township, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born Oct. 26, 1958, in Pittsburgh, son of Bonnie (Stephenson) Tomer, of Salem Township, and the late John W. Tomer. He is survived by his wife, Angela (Mele) Tomer; sons, Robert J. Tomer II, of Export, and David Tomer (Shanda), of Delmont; daughters, Danielle Tomer, of Greensburg, Ashley Yearick (Bill), of Shelocta, and Patti Tomer, of Saltsburg; his beloved pug, Ralphie; grandchildren, Robert J. Tomer III, Taylor Grace Yearick and Audrina Ruby Kuczinski; sisters, Trisha Tomer, of Delmont, and Debra England (Darrin), of Illinois; brothers, John Tomer (Sandy), of Maryland, and David Tomer, of Florida; and also many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Robert was predeceased by his niece, Amanda Zahorski, and his sister-in-law, Felice Tomer.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Dean Ward of The River-A Community Church, New Kensington, presiding. Interment services will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont.
