Florence M. "Lala" (Salensky) Zeyzus, 88, of Salem Township, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at Forbes Regional Hospital, in Monroeville. She was born May 11, 1930, in Saltsburg, daughter of the late John and Julia (Chelbowski) Salensky. In addition to her parents, Florence was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Helen Puzak, Stanley, Joseph, Josephine Harkabusic, Alice Delserone, Frank and George Salensky. She is survived by her husband, Raymond J. Zeyzus; daughters, Renee (John) Bowman, of Bell Township, and Julie Zeyzus, of Chambersburg; a granddaughter, Darcy Bowman; a sister, Mary Cicio; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Florence was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Catholic Church in Delmont. She enjoyed reading the Bible, bingo, making crafts and watching reruns of The Golden Girls. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. As a homemaker for 48 years, Florence provided loving care to her family; warm, welcoming hospitality to anyone who visited; and encouraged her daughters to grow in the Christian Faith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. John Baptist de la Salle Catholic Church, in Delmont.
There will be no visitation. Interment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont.
