Edward Raymond Wygonik

Edward Raymond Wygonik, 59, of Washington Township, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at his home. He was born Oct. 8, 1957, in McKeesport, a son of Dorothy L. (Szerszen) Wygonik and the late Edward R. Wygonik. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Wygonik. Edward is survived by his loving beloved wife, Maureen (Sweeney) Wygonik; his daughter, Meghann Wygonik Kinkley and her husband, Jarrod; his son, Matthew Wygonik; and his brothers, Ron Wygonik and his wife, Ralph, of Madison, Conn., Ray Wygonik and his wife, Mindy, of Indiana, Pa., and Jim Wygonik and his wife, Gina, of Madison. Ed was a caring man of service, always there to help others in need. As a husband, father and son, he was actively involved in his family's life. He was more than a superintendent for Mayer Solutions; he was a mentor to many young apprentices who came on his job site.  Family and friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Harrison City, with Father Michael Sikon presiding.
