Doris M. (Cook) Dovyak

Doris M. (Cook) Dovyak, 94, of Slickville, Pa., passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in Florida. She was born October 3, 1923 in Jeannette, Pa. daughter of the late Carl and Mabel (Wallace) Cook. In addition to her parents Doris was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, John A. Dovyak, grandson Eric Dovyak, two brothers, Carl and Leroy Cook and two sisters, Vivian Rehrer and Gloria Cook. She is survived by two sons, John Dovyak and his wife Patricia of Greensburg, Pa. and David Dovyak and his wife Linda of Winter Springs, Florida; grandchildren Tammy, Amanda and her husband Phil, Melisa, Shawna and her husband Jeff, Jenna and her husband Dustin and Craig and his wife Claire and great grandchildren, Sasha, Samantha, Isaiah, Phillip, Aiyana, Hope, Sienna, Shyanne, Noah, Roslyn and Eva. Doris will also be dearly missed by her close good friend and companion, Andrew Rasperger. Visitation will be held Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Bash-Nied Funeral Home 152 Abbe Place, Delmont 724-468-8381. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10 AM with Fr. John Harrold, of St. Sylvester Catholic Church of Slickville as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to St. Sylvester Catholic Church 3028 State Route 819 Slickville, Pa. 15684. Interment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont Pa.
