Betty J. (Tomashosky) Chicka

Betty J. (Tomashosky) Chicka, 87, of Bell Twp., passed away Friday January 20, 2017 at UPMC East Hospital in Monroeville. She was born November 7, 1929 in Trees Mills, Pa., daughter of the late John and Annie (Zakszewski) Tomashosky. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel Chicka, Sr., a son, Michael Chicka and brothers and sisters. Betty is survived by three sons, Daniel Chicka, Jr. of Bell Twp., Duwayne Chicka of Bell Twp, Darren Chicka and his wife Debbie of Saltsburg, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a sister, Martha Mihalik of Georgia and nieces and nephews. Betty was an avid bingo player, loved to cook and was known as the “perogie lady!” Friends will be received 3-5 and 6-8 PM Monday at Bash-Nied Funeral Home 152 Abbe Place, Delmont 724-468-8381 where a Blessing Service will be held Tuesday 11 AM with Fr.
