Vera Jean Maiolie

Vera Jean Maiolie, 74, of Georgia, formerly of Irwin, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born July 27, 1940 in Dunningtown, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Bertha (Sutton) Stiffy. In addition to her parents, Vera was predeceased by a grandson, Shane, their angel in heaven. Vera is survived by her beloved husband, Fred; daughters, Jeannie Garcia and her husband, Dennis, of Hawaii, Cindy White, of Texas, and Tammy Hill and her husband, Ryan, of Georgia; grandchildren, David and Liz White, Jonathan and Kim White, Joseph and Jennifer Yakel, Jeremy Yakel and Sollie and Kobe Garcia; great-grandchildren, Aliza, Natalie, Brianna and Noah; sisters, Lois Wallace and Lorna Long and her husband, William; and also many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, PA 15626, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Paul Baer of Suburban Community Church in Irwin presiding, where Vera was a member.
