Nancy Jean (Miller) Mangery, 81, of Delmont, passed away Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, with her loving family at her side. She was born July 21, 1933, in Pavia, a daughter of the late Clarence and Emma (Stiffler) Miller Taylor and stepfather, Arthur W. Taylor. In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Franklin A. Mangery; a son-in-law, Richard A. Redman; and siblings, Calvin Taylor, Aileen Taylor, Lois Arlene Decker, Dorothy Lachie, Beverly Brown, Lucille Kersten, Sylvia Taylor and Judy Taylor. She is survived by her loving family, including her children, Frank R. Mangery and his wife, Carol, of Delmont, Michael J. Mangery and his wife, Donna, of Penn Township, Mardi R. Zerbini and her husband, Edwin, of Greensburg, Mary Beth Redman, of Jeannette, and Dante A. Mangery, and his wife, Kristene, of Saltsburg; grandchildren, Mariah Mangery, Frank Mangery, John Zerbini, Matthew Mangery, Steven Zerbini, Daniel Zerbini, Daine Mangery, Monique Redman, Lukas Mangery, Swade Redman, Dante Mangery and Dalton Mangery; siblings, Robert (Margaret) Miller, Zane (Carol) Taylor, Ruby Brown, Dolores Hauth, Patricia Litz, Joyce (Barry) Veronesi, Sandra (Paul) D'Ascenzo, Cynthia (Fred) DeMetro; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy Jean will also be missed by Betty Jo Mangery and her many friends. Nancy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her time with her children and grandchildren and made "The Best Spaghetti Sauce!" She was the president of Mangery Contracting Inc., in Delmont and previously worked at Westinghouse Airbrake and the former Sheraton Inn in Greensburg. She graduated from Penn Township High School in 1951 and was a member of the girls' basketball team and the Girls Athletic Association. Friends will be received 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Slickville Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Thomas M. Holmes presiding. According to the family's wishes, everyone is to please meet at the church. Committal services will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont.
