Maryann (Battist) Recklein

Maryann (Battist) Recklein, 76, of Delmont, Salem Township, died peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at William Penn Care Center. She was born Aug. 22, 1941, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Donald and Eleanor (Villala) Battist. She was the wife of the late Robert; loving mother of Paul, of Delmont, Michael (fiance Sherri), of Monroeville, Mark (Jennifer), of Export, and David, of Delmont; grandmother of Bob, Samantha, Katelynn, Tyler, Zachery and Seth; sister of Donald (Clara) Battist, of New Kensington; and cousin of Peggy D'Imperio, of Wilkins Township. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary Ann worked for 21 years as a unit clerk for the William Penn Care Center in Jeannette. There will be no visitation. A memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381. A blessing service will take place at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Efren Ambre officiating. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations for a statue to be dedicated to Maryann.
