Mary (Cush) Martz

Mary Cush Martz, 93, of Jeannette, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at ARC Twin Valley Personal Home in Delmont. She was born Dec. 23, 1921, in England, daughter of the late Patrick and Myna Cush. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dale C. Martz Sr.; four brothers, Patrick, Daniel, Frank and Joseph Cush; and a sister, Nancy Chapman. She is survived by her sons, Dale C. Martz Jr. (Lisa), of Middletown, Ohio, and James "Doyle" Martz (Bonnie Davanzo), of Washington Township, and daughter, Nancy Kudrick (Al), of Mamont; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Leleck (Bill) of Calgary, Canada, and Sarah Cush, of British Columbia, and a brother, Michael Cush (Susan), of England; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Church in Delmont. She was born and raised by the ocean and maintained her love for the sea throughout her entire life. She was also a member of the English Wive's Club. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. John Baptist de la Salle Church in Delmont with Father Joseph Bonafed presiding.
