LeRoy T. "Bugs" Detman, Jr.

LeRoy T. "Bugs" Detman Jr., 75, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at his home, in Bell Township, with his loving family at his side. He was born July 9, 1941, in Oklahoma, Pa., son of the late LeRoy T. Sr. and Edna Ruth (Miller) Detman. LeRoy is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Kathleen "Bonnie" Detman; sisters, Ruth Jean Rupert and her husband, Robert, of Wernersville, Donna McLaughlin, of Roanoke, Va., and Mary Lois Lindenberg and her husband, Kipp, of Butler; brother-in-law, Dennis Riznow and his wife, Kathleen, of Bethel Park, and sister-in-law, Connie Stull, of Boquet; and also nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his longtime friend, Bill King, of Bell Township. LeRoy was honorably discharged after serving the Army. LeRoy retired after 42 years from National Roll in Avonmore. He was a 32nd degree Mason with Williamson Lodge No. 431 in Saltsburg and also the National Rifle Association. As an avid outdoorsman, LeRoy loved to target shoot and was a member of Kiski Township Sportsman's Beagle and Rifle Club.
Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with Pastor Thomas H. Holmes, of Slickville Presbyterian Church, presiding. Interment services will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont.  Memorial donations may be directed to the charity of choice .
