Jerry Grant Cribbs

Jerry G. Cribbs, 71, of Washington Township, passed away Thursday July 21, 2016, in Wheeling, W.Va. He was born Nov. 16, 1944, in Home, Pa., son of the late Walter C. and Ettie E. (Lukehart) Cribbs. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Denise M. (Bert) Cribbs; sons, Jason Cribbs, of Plum, and Jeff Cribbs and his wife, Shannon of Plum; grandchildren, Nathan, Evan, Sawyer and Asher; and a sister, Judy (Cribbs) Stahlman and her husband, Darl, of Punxsutawny; and cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends. Jerry was honorably discharged from the Army Reserve after 21 years of service. He retired Jan. 1, 2003, after 36 years from Allegheny Energy as Director of Control Area Operations. Jerry had many interests not limited to but including cars, gambling, golfing and bowling.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Gregory C. Drayer presiding. Interment services will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, with military honors provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 33 of Greensburg.
