Jean Gertrude Johnston Branthoover

Of  Greensburg, On Monday, July 27, 2015, Born August 22, 1924 in Salem Township, Daughter of the late Florence Amanda Cline Long and William Long and the late Harry Johnston;  Jean was a graduate of Greensburg High School, a member of the Congruity Presbyterian Church, a girl scout leader, a former member of the Pittsburgh Mother of Twins Club, Delmont Golden Agers, founding Vice President of the Salem Township PTA and Alwine Homemakers.  Jean also enjoyed attending Cloverleaf Senior Luncheons and the Slickville Senior Center.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Logan Dean Branthoover and a son Barry Dean Branthoover.  She is survived by four daughters, Cindy Joyce Karstaedt and her husband William of New Alexandria, Terry Jean Selembo and the late George of Greensburg, Trudy June Carle and her husband Joe of Bellaire, Ohio, Tammy Logan Kulik and her husband Gary of New Alexandria, and a son Larry Gene Branthoover and his wife Petra of Hollywood, Maryland; nine grandchildren, three step grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchild.  Friends received THURSDAY ONLY 4-8 p.m. at theBash-Nied Funeral Home  152 Abbe Place Delmont, PA, 724-468-8381 where a service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m with Rev. H. Clifton Foster presiding.
