Hertine Cambell Jones

Hertine Campbell Jones, 81, of Slickville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg. She was born Aug. 26, 1933, in Rankin, daughter of the late Frank and Odessa (Doggett) Campbell. In addition to her parents, Hertine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Mayo; and two sons, Richard and Darrel Jones. She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Jones and his wife, Stacey, of Delmont, Benjamin Jones, of Greensburg, and Myron Jones and his wife, Evelyn, of Greensburg; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and sisters, Rose Campbell Watkins and her husband, Richard, of McKeesport, and Ophelia Campbell Riles, of Swissvale. Hertine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Her family fondly and humorously remembers her for her "Patty Cake Song" and as a wonderful cook. She also worked for many years at the Lamplighter Restaurant. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381.
