Hazel L. Bortz

Hazel L. Bortz, 91, of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday September 14, 2016 at Hempfield Manor in Greensburg. She was born May 19, 1925 in Salem Twp. daughter of the late Martin and Nora (Fennel) Bortz. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Hazel is survived a niece, Yvonne Moose and her husband Harold, nephews Jay Bortz and his wife Carrie , Kevin Bortz and his wife Beckie and also grand nieces and nephews. Hazel was a member of First Lutheran Church in Greensburg and the McKenna Senior citizen Center in Greensburg. She retired as a waitress for the former Silvis Dairy Store and former Trautman’s Department Store in Greensburg. Friends will be received at Bash-Nied Funeral Home, Delmont 724-468-8381 Friday 3-7PM with services at 4:30 PM with Pastor Jerry Nuerenberger presiding.
