Franklin G Stugart

Franklin “Frank” G. Stugart, 81, was called into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday August 3, 2016 at his home in Delmont. He was born September 2, 1934 in Montgomery, Pa., son of the late Arthur and Anna M. (Kitchen) Stugart. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Anna Rea in 2007. Frank received his Bachelor of Arts from Susquehanna University in 1957 where was also a member of Phi Mu Delta Fraternity, and his masters in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh in 1960. Frank was employed as a Psychiatric Social Worker at Torrance State Hospital for over 30 years where he was known for his kindness and compassion. He retired in 1992. He enjoyed fishing, travelling and was an avid reader. He was married in 1968 to his beloved wife of 47 years, Patricia A. (Meyer) Stugart. He was a loving and proud father to his two children, son David Stugart of Robinson Twp. and daughter Heidi Stugart-Batson and her husband Dave (and his daughter Kendall Batson). Two wonderful grandchildren James and Julia Wagner will also carry treasured memories of their “Pop-Pop.” He will also be missed by his canine companions, Sadie and Rowan. Frank is also survived by nieces and nephews. Frank and his wife Patricia are members of The Murrysville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Murrysville. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8PM at Bash-Nied Funeral Home 152 Abbe Place, Delmont 724-468-8381 where funeral home services will be held Saturday 11 AM with Rev. Daniel B. Lawrence of the Murrysville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church presiding.
