David N. Baker

David N. Baker, 78, of Penn Township, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born Oct. 26, 1936, in Greensburg, a son of the late Kenneth and Rebecca (Leacock) Baker. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Baker; four brothers; and a sister. David is survived by his beloved wife, Judith (Stevenson) Baker; son, David R. Baker and his wife, Tammy, of New Kensington; a daughter, Melissa (Baker) CaIdwell and her husband, Paul, of Saltsburg; grandchildren, Nicole and Lindsey CaIdwell, Cassandra Sawetzka and Kerrigan Ban; great-grandchildren, Kristina Marron and Jason Marron; a sister, Sally Kralik, of Export; sisters-in-law, Loretta Baker, of Greensburg, Jennifer Dickey and her husband, John, of Greensburg, and Roberta Millantz and her husband, Michael, of New Alexandria; and also nieces and nephews. David retired from St. Margaret Hospital in Aspinwall as director of engineering and maintenance after 13 years and previously from Forbes Hospital in Monroeville. He was honorably discharged after serving in the Army National Guard. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday.
