Bonnie Jean (Stephenson) Tomer

Bonnie Jean (Stephenson) Tomer, 84, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, in Greensburg, Salem Township, with her loving daughters at her side. She was born Sept. 27, 1932, in Jamestown, N.Y., daughter of the late Floyd and Margaret (Haight) Stephenson. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by her beloved husband, John W. Tomer; son, Robert J. Tomer; granddaughter, Amanda J. Zahorsky; and a daughter-in-law, Felice Tomer. She was also predeceased by four brothers, Floyd, David, William and Ralph Stephenson. She is survived by daughters, Trish Tomer, of Salem Township, Debra England and her husband, Darrin, of Venedy, Ill.; sons, John W. Tomer II and his wife, Sandy, of Glen Burnie, Md., and David A. Tomer, of Inverness, Fla.; grandchildren, Heather Butler (Larry), Chasity Tomer (Jenn), John Tomer III (Heather), Terrance Nagy (Jen), Christopher Nagy (Deb), Robert Tomer (Evelyn), Danielle Tomer (Bill), Ashley Yearick (Bill), David Tomer (Shanda) and Patti Tomer (David); and seven great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Angie Mele Tomer, of Salem Township; a sister, Patricia Riley, of South Carolina; and a brother, Howard Stephenson (Carol), of Ohio; sisters-in-law, Shirley Stephenson and Roma Sarn; and brother-in-law, J. Lloyd Tomer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bonnie worked alongside her late husband, John, for many years in their businesses.
Friends will be received 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday with funeral services commencing at 1 p.m. at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, with the Rev. Dean Ward presiding. Interment services will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont.
