Betty Jane Hilty

Betty J. (Long) Hilty, 85, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015, at her home in Salem Township. She was born Feb. 17, 1930, in Greensburg, daughter of the late Clarence E. and Mary A. (Burger) Long. In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by three brothers, James H., Edward C. and Richard W. Long; and a sister, Margaret Waltenbaugh. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, John B. Hilty Sr.; daughters, Beverly J. Kellner and her husband, Thomas, of Greensburg, Deborah A. Zelliot and her husband, Charles, of Greensburg, Marcie L. Baker and her husband, Richard, of Latrobe, and sons, John B. Hilty Jr., of Greeensburg, Richard W. Hilty, of Greensburg, and Mark A. Hilty, of Greensburg; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev.
