Bernice L. (O'Brien) Duffett, 97, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, April 9, 2018, in Greensburg, with her loving family at her side. Bernice was a charter member of Faith United Methodist Church in Delmont and a member of United Methodist Women's Association. She was born Feb. 1, 1921, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late John and Mabel (Lease) O'Brien. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas F. Duffett; grandson, Lance Duffett; daughter-in-law, Erika Duffett; and son-in-law, Wayne Carter. Bernice is survived by her loving family, sons, Robert T. Duffett, Ronald J. Duffett, David F. Duffett, Edward C. Duffett, and a daughter, Susan B. Carter; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Bernice will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday with a funeral service at 4 p.m. at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381, with the Rev. Ronald Raptosh of Faith United Methodist Church, presiding. Interment services will be held Saturday at Fairview Cemetery, in Martinsburg, Pa.
