Barbara L. (Hamilton) Rasperger

Barbara L. (Hamilton) Rasperger, 87, of Slickville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at Greensburg Care Center. Her family would like to express their gratitude for the sincere and compassionate care provided by the staff of Greensburg Care Center. She was born Aug. 9, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late James and Anna (Mojher) Hamilton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Rasperger; a daughter, Joan Rasperger; and sisters, Dolores Hollar and Joan Randolph. Barbara is survived by a son, William Rasperger, and his wife, Joan, of Florida; daughters, Kathleen Shearon, and her husband, Dennis, of Slickville, and Lisa Chelsted, and her husband, David, of Latrobe; grandchildren, Amanda Cording (Jeff), Karen Drake (Dale), Michael Shearon (Karen), James Shearon (Katie), Melissa Chelsted and Geoffrey Chelsted (Meghan); great-grandchildren, Ashley, Katelynn, Tessa, Lilli, Sam, Linc, Mackenzie, Carter, Jacob, Jaxson, and Kendyl; sisters, Mary Arbutine, of Florida, and Jean Ivester, and her husband, Frank, of Virginia; and a brother, James Hamilton, and his wife, Marie, of Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a 7:30 p.m. blessing service, at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381, with Father John Harrold presiding. Interment will be attended, by request for the family only, at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont.
